Live in Fort Worth? Have heart failure and not taking a ‘water pill’ like spironolactone?
If your heart isn’t working like it should, you may qualify for a study in Fort Worth. This research is for people with NYHA Class II–IV heart failure and low ejection fraction. You must be on standard heart medications but not taking an MRA. There’s no cost to take part. Your experience may help researchers understand heart failure better.
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of the study is to learn how a combination of Jardiance and the investigational study drug may work in people with heart failure and low heart pumping strength (LVEF less than 40%). The study will compare this combination to Jardiance and placebo, both given in alignment with standard heart failure care.
Study Requirements
You may qualify if you:
o Are 18 years of age or older
o Have been diagnosed with chronic heart failure (NYHA Class II–IV)
o Have reduced heart function (LVEF less than 40%)
o Are taking standard heart failure medications like an ACE inhibitor, ARB, ARNI, beta-blocker, or SGLT2 inhibitor
o Are not currently taking MRA medications (like spironolactone or eplerenone)
Potential Benefits of Participation
Access to new treatments that are not yet available to the general public.
Personalized medical attention from leading healthcare professionals.
Compensation up to $2485.00 may be provided for study-related time and travel.
